Talking about dreams, like I said in the title, we all own it inside us, maybe hiding, or maybe it's us who refuse to admit that we have dreams.

Waktu gue SMA, gue punya beberapa mimpi yang di antaranya agak-agak nggak feasible untuk dilakukan. Here are some of them.

1) Mau sekali aja dalam hidup jadi pilot untuk satu kali penerbangan jarak pendek.

Mimpi yang ini kemungkinan besar dilatarbelakangi oleh kakek gue (whom I never met, he died 6 years--on 1993--before I was born) yang dulu kerjanya berkaitan dengan penerbangan-thingy walaupun dia nggak pernah bener-bener act as a pilot. I was always amazed by the complexity (in my opinion) of those control buttons or the radars they use to communicate or even those airports! They look cool... effortlessly. (But, I do believe they put a lot of effort--in the flights, in their journey to be a pilot, to sum up: in their lives.) 

2) Mau jadi masinis KA Eksekutif/Argo ke Jawa well, for at least once

Gue. Sangat. Suka. Kereta. 

This is a fact. You need no doubt to trust this. Kesukaan ini membawa gue hampir masuk Teknik Mesin, bahkan di buku tulis yang gue pake waktu masa orientasi SMA, gue tulis cita-cita gue insinyur mesin. Nggak berhenti sampai di situ, gue juga sempat googling tentang Sekolah Tinggi Transportasi Darat, and deep down still wishing I could be there, lol, joking. Sampai sekarang, gue kadang-kadang masih sempat baca website Rekrutmen PT. Kereta Api Indonesia. Plus, agak envy sama salah seorang teman gue yang berhasil kerja di KAI setelah dia lulus kuliah. To spice up this story a little bit (haha, not really necessary), gue masih punya satu tumpuk majalah KA, ada edisi pertama hasil hunting di abang-abang majalah bekas di Jatinegara, tapi mostly hasil gue beli tiap bulan. Last, poster KA Argo Lawu hasil beli di Stasiun Tugu Yogyakarta masih menempel cantik di kamar dari jaman gue SD.

Ah. Lovely.

It's really a lovely moment when you talk about something you really love with all your heart.

Tapi cinta, kadang-kadang suka banyak minta. That's why I wrote this dream.

3) Pake dress

Mimpi ini sudah terpenuhi sebanyak dua kali, pertama waktu Inaugurasi Magangers Kompas Muda Batch VI, here's the photo, coba tebak gue yang mana:

Yang kedua, waktu gue jadi bagian dari tim Dokumentasi Wisuda Ganjil, that's a lovely black dress but I wore it like a top, since I added a black trouser with it. Check it here.

4) Bisa make-up sendiri

Terlaksana dengan sukses waktu foto buku tahunan SMA, here's the result, but no eye shadow, no eyeliner, no blush on, no primer:

Setelah cerita tentang mimpi, makin ke sini, sebagai efek samping kehidupan kuliah, list of dreams itu berubah jadi to-do list. Lebih konkrit, tapi jangka waktunya berubah jadi pendek.

Life changes people--but embrace change.

Salah satu hal yang ada di to-do list gue adalah to learn about UI/UX. Lomba modal nekat di Pekan Ristek bareng 2 temen yang sama nekatnya padahal nggak tau apa-apa bener-bener jadi motivasi gue untuk belajar UI/UX lebih dalam lagi, bahkan kalau bisa plus praktek, whether as an intern or as a full-time employee, seandainya Allah merestui.

Let's wish for a better life--we all deserve it. And by the way, Selamat Hari Pendidikan Nasional!
